Q: Where should I park?

A: Flooring Creations has curbside (sidewalk) parking in front of our store and additional reserved parking in a lot directly behind our building. This lot is in the alley and there is signage directing/pointing you to this area.


Q: Do you guys loan or give out Samples?

A: Yes we loan store samples, with a $25 deposit per sample, (actual charge on card). Limit of 3 samples, which must be returned in 2-3 days.


Q: How much does Luxury Vinyl Plank usually cost?

A: For your budgeting purposes here is a good ballpark for a quality luxury vinyl plank, which will run between $2.99 – $3.99 per square foot. Labor to install a vinyl plank can run between $2.00-$2.50 per square foot. Quality means that the specs meet the following criteria. Protective coating of at least 12 mils (20 mils is the best), Overall thickness of at least 5-6 mm (7-8 mm is the best), SPC core (limestone) vs plastic core and pad attached serving as a sound membrane.

Q: How much does Porcelain Tile usually cost?

A: For your budgeting purposes here is a good ballpark for a quality Porcelain tile, which will run between $2.99 – $3.99 per square foot. Labor to install tile can run between $2.75-$3.50 per square foot. Quality means that the specs meet the following criteria. Porcelain versus Ceramic, PEI (Porcelain enamel inst.) rating of 4 or 5 (4 is heavy residential/light commercial and 5 is commercially rated) and great visuals meaning good color variation and detail put into texture, edging creating authentic visuals.

Q: How much does Wood Flooring usually cost?

A: For your budgeting purposes here is a good ballpark for a quality Engineered wood floor, which will run between $3.99 – $9.99 per square foot. Labor to install wood can run between $3.00-$3.75 per square foot. Quality means that the specs meet the following criteria. Quality core of 6-8 plys, veneer wear layer of 2-4 mm’s, protective coating of aluminum oxide and a structural warranty of 25-35 years.

Q: How much does Carpet usually cost?

A: For your budgeting purposes here is a good ballpark for a quality carpet, which will run you between $2.99 – $3.99 per square foot. Premium high quality pad is a no brainier and a must! A premium pad will run you $1.00 per square foot, don’t compromise the pad as it is the most important part of making the carpet perform well. Quality means that the specs meet the following criteria. Yarn type (what the carpet is made out of) SmartStrand or Solution Dyed yarn, Density of 40 ounces or higher, lower to medium height yarn for better performance in high traffic and of course premium pad.

Q: How much do Quartz Countertops usually cost?

A: For your budgeting purposes here is a good ballpark for a quality quartz counter top, which will run you between $950 to $1,500 per slab (1 slab = roughly 53 sqft).

We do not sell installation, but we do have great recommendations that can be made to professional independent installers. The going market labor rates will be between $35 to $40 per square foot (exact square footage of the surface counter top area).


Q: How much is it just for labor?

A: We do not offer or sell installation or repair services. We offer great recommendations to professional independent installers for customers who purchase their materials from us.


Q: Do You Refinish Existing Wood Floors?

A: We do not offer this service of sanding and refinishing wood floors. May we recommend Walter at Atlas Flooring (619-299-9695), or Ismael at IR Hardwood (619-917-5788). You can find both of these companies on Yelp or Google.


Q: Do you guys do Free Estimates or Consultations?

A: Yes, please call the famous Gus’s at 619-275-5338. There is a small ($50) 100% refundable measure fee (refunded back on purchase) for appointments that are far away from the store. These areas will be North County or far East county. The famous Gus’s look forward to the opportunity to help you!
